Today I’m wearing Jem from Zoya’s Fall 2011 Mirror Collection. It is described as a “red-toned purple with metallic pink highlights and subtle gold duochrome.”

As you can see, sunlight brings out the metallic pink in the polish. As for the gold duochrome? Well, when they say subtle, they mean nearly invisible. In the bottle, Jem is stunning. You can see the purple, pink, and gold as you rotate it. However, the gold practically disappears once the polish is applied. You need just the right amount of sunlight in just the right spot to see it, but when you do, it’s absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, that loveliness doesn’t translate on camera. All in all, Jem is a very pretty color for fall, but not as pretty and unique as I had hoped.
